Kalaw is a good starting point for Pindaya, over 5000 Buiddha statues ,to be found there. (I didn't go there).

It's also a great departure point for a trek towards the Lake Inle. (I did this). </description>

It took about 24 hours and 500 liters of water (last day of the waterfestival) to get from Yangon to Kalaw with a stopover in Meiktila. On arrival, I felt like I could teach a milkshake about, well.. shaking.. </description>
